Monegros Desert Festival 2025

30 years ago, the Arnau family had one of its dreams. After our parents had discovered all the great raves in England and across central Europe, and at the end of one of those unforgettable sessions at the Florida 135 club with the great techno heroes, they visited the family estate in the heart of the Monegros desert. It was dawn, and stars still shone in the sky. Right there, sitting on a straw bale in the middle of the ‘threshing floor’, our parents decided to turn that space into a huge dance floor, a crazy idea if we think back to 1992. If most young people outside our borders had their own illegal raves, we, the Arnau family and our clients, would also have our own. What started back then as a simple gathering of music-loving friends, over time, became a benchmark in the international electronic music scene.

We absorbed the best of that movement which was timidly making its way in most clubs and the most underground raves across Europe. But we also created a new concept of fun: ‘la Ravervena’, a mix of music, dance, entertainment, party, and family.

In 2021, this dream was realized again. Monegros was celebrated once more in the land where it was born, achieving record numbers. Over 120 artists, 11 stages, and 2,000 workers made the Fraga gathering a unique experience beyond just music. The Monegros Desert Festival returned revamped, selling out, with a setup never seen before in our country. Twenty-two hours of music spread over eleven themed stages. The experience was so great, we decided to do it again in 2023!

Last year, precisely on July 29th, 2023, Monegros Desert Festival made a grand return for the second consecutive year, to celebrate its thirtieth anniversary. An unforgettable thirtieth anniversary for the 50,000 souls from 90 countries who enjoyed 22 non-stop hours of music with us. Once again, the R.A.V.E concept, the incredible stages, technological and creative innovations, and operational improvements from 2022 transformed the heart of the Aragonese desert into an extraordinary audiovisual and sound machine.

The Monegros desert offers us the chance to grow creatively year after year. This is why, over these 30 years, we at Monegros have wanted to evolve in creativity and technology to such an extent that it’s not just a festival where you listen to your favorite artists, but rather, a fleeting city where you live unparalleled and unforgettable experiences.

If you thought the last edition was unbeatable, get ready because next year it’s coming back with even heavier artillery. On July 27th, 2024, we return to celebrate our 31st birthday with 11 stages, over 150 DJs, gigantic decorations, immersive stage designs, a variety of musical genres, and many more surprises that we’ll reveal soon.
