About the festival

Meidum Festival is a boutique electronic music festival founded by Elan Schnider that has quickly become a favorite in the Cape Town scene for its stunning production and architectural focus. Taking place at the Pat Busch Mountain Reserve near Robertson, approximately 2 hours from Cape Town, the festival is held in a lush, hidden valley with mountains on all sides and a pristine dam for swimming. The festival's centerpiece is a unique 25-meter-wide, 4-story pyramid structure serving as the main stage dance floor, designed as a "temple" of sound and light that creates a striking industrial-meets-nature aesthetic. The soundscape is heavily curated toward house, indie dance, techno, and disco, bringing a sophisticated, high-energy lineup. Beyond the pyramid stage, expect a second stage (run by The Tropical Roast) near the dam for daytime sunshine and swimming, premium sound systems, impressive rigid architectural structures, and a polished, stylish atmosphere. This strictly 20+ or 21+ event offers general camping included in tickets as well as glamping setups with AfrCamps and luxury dome tents for those seeking a more refined mountain retreat experience.
