Boom Festival is back in 2025 and its an unforgettable experience for any psytrance enthusiast. Taking place from July 17th to July 24th, Boom Festival 2025 promises a week-long celebration of creativity, spirituality, and cultural diversity. Here’s everything you need to know to make the most of your visit.

Getting to Boom Festival is quite convenient, with several transport options available. If you’re traveling internationally, the nearest airport is Lisbon Portela Airport (LIS). From there, you can catch a direct shuttle bus to the festival grounds, which takes approximately three hours. Alternatively, you can opt for a train or bus journey from Lisbon to Idanha-a-Nova, the town where Boom Festival takes place.

When it comes to accommodation, you have the choice of bringing your own tent or renting one on-site. If you prefer to bring your own tent, make sure it’s sturdy and weather-resistant, as the festival grounds can get quite dusty during dry spells. However, if you prefer a hassle-free option, renting a tent is a great alternative, allowing you to travel light and have your accommodation ready upon arrival.

During the festival dates, Portugal experiences warm and sunny weather, with temperatures ranging between 25°C (77°F) and 35°C (95°F). It’s essential to pack lightweight and breathable clothing, as well as sunscreen, a hat, and sunglasses to protect yourself from the sun. Don’t forget to bring a refillable water bottle to stay hydrated throughout the festival (water can get expensive from the bar).

Aside from the incredible music across multiple stages (Dance Temple, Alchemy Circle, Sacred Fire, Funky Beach, The Gardens), Boom Festival offers a wide range of workshops art installations. Embrace the festival’s eco-friendly ethos by participating in sustainability initiatives and respecting the natural surroundings. Remember to bring cash, as the festival operates on a token system for food, drinks, and activities.

Boom Festival 2025 is an extraordinary journey into music, art, and self-discovery. Prepare for a week of enchantment, connection, and transformation in the stunning Portuguese countryside. Enjoy the vibrant atmosphere, make new friends from around the world, and create memories that will last a lifetime. Don’t forget to hang around Lisbon before and after the event too!
