Up The Creek Festival 2027 returns to the banks of the Breede River near Swellendam, Western Cape, from February 11-14, offering four days, four stages (Main Stage, River Stage, Memphis, and Lift-Height Stage), and 50+ artists in what is South Africa’s second longest-running outdoor music festival, established in 1990. The festival showcases a diverse lineup of local and international talent spanning rock, indie, folk, funk, blues, and electronic genres, including artists like Jeremy Loops, Spoegwolf, Crimson House, and Canadian singer-songwriter Ryan Harris. Festival-goers can choose from various camping options including Platteland, Hill Billy, Heartbreak Motel Glamping, Grassed Camping with powered campsites, and River Camp Glamping, creating an intimate riverside experience that combines live music with river activities and a relaxed atmosphere. With tickets limited to 2,500, the festival emphasizes supporting South African music while maintaining eco-friendly practices to protect the Breede River environment.
