About the festival

Rocking the Daisies is South Africa's premier music and lifestyle festival, held annually each spring at Cloof Wine Estate in Darling, approximately 75km from Cape Town (about 1 hour drive via the N7). Running since 2005, the festival attracts over 15,000 attendees with its "Play Hard, Tread Lightly" philosophy focused on sustainability and eco-friendliness. The multi-stage event has evolved from its rock roots to feature diverse genres including hip-hop, pop, R&B, and electronic music, with recent international headliners like Stormzy, Kehlani, and Summer Walker alongside top local acts. Festival-goers can choose between general camping in Daisyland or pre-pitched glamping options, and the event operates cashless via wristbands. Known for its blend of music, fashion, and art across multiple stages including hidden gems beyond the Main Stage and Beach Bar, RTD offers a complete festival experience with unpredictable Darling weather that can swing from blazing sun to cold nights.
