Reforest Fest 2026 runs April 3 to 6 at Bodhi Khaya Nature Retreat in the Uilenkraal Valley near Stanford, approximately 150km from Cape Town (2.5 hour scenic drive through the Overberg). Organized by Greenpop, this intimate 1,000-person family-friendly festival combines environmental action with celebration, designed to move attendees from eco-anxiety to agency. The signature event is Saturday morning’s Big Plant, where the entire community works together to plant 5,000 to 10,000 indigenous trees to restore local forests and protect habitats for species like the Cape Leopard. Once the restoration work is complete, the festival shifts to music featuring acts like Nomadic Orchestra, Crimson House Duo, and Siso Nkambule, alongside workshops on permaculture, sustainable gardening, yoga, guided forest walks, and mindfulness sessions.
