About the festival

Origin Festival 2027 (South Africa) is one of the longest-running and most established festivals in the country, with a legacy spanning decades. Set in a remote natural environment near Elandskloof Guest Farm, the gathering is best known for its deep, all-night psychedelic trance journeys, which remain the heart of the festival. While the event features multiple dance floors and alternative spaces, there is a strong and unwavering focus on psychedelic trance, supported by ritual-inspired décor, visionary art, and an emphasis on conscious community and personal transformation. Attendance is strictly capped at around 3,000 tickets, and the festival is sold out, preserving an intimate, immersive atmosphere. The site is typically accessed by car, with final directions shared closer to the event. Expect hot daytime temperatures, intense sun exposure, dust, and significantly cooler nights, making preparation and layered clothing essential.
