South African artist Daniel Popper has just completed his latest exhibition near Chicago at the The Morton Arboretum. Five of Daniel’s massive structures will remain on display for at least a year.
Daniel Popper is a familiar name in the psychedelic community. His structures have been featured at festivals around the world including Boom Festival, Ozora Festival, Modem Festival, AfrikaBurn and more.
These structures are some of Daniel’s largest – with one piece reaching 26 feet high. They are made of a combination of materials including wood, steel, concrete, fiberglass and other natural materials.
“For this exhibition I really tried to explore some new techniques , working with 3d sculpting and the same time experimenting with new materials and building techniques”
While the Human + Nature exhibition was originally planned for a June 2020 open date, the coronavirus pandemic put things on pause for a year. If you’re anywhere near the Chicago region – it’s worth checking out!
