Paralocks aka Jerry van den Heever began his psytrance journey in the year of 2007. After experiencing the Cape Town outdoor party scene over the summer of 2006 the longing to better understand and comprehend these frequencies urged him to begin to create his own music. Thus the project Paralocks was born. (Locked with the parallel dimension.)
The initail influences of the project were that of the ‘darker’ artists performing in the Cape Town scene at the time. After experiencing the Noizy Radicals event in 2008 the direction of Jerry’s music shifted in a different direction focusing on higher speeds than the usual SA speed limit (148 bpm), high tech glitches incorperated into large dynamic soundscapes.
