Grimehouse

Keaton Anthony Carelse, the name behind the Grimehouse project, hailing from Cape Town, South Africa, has unveiled his third full-length album, “Rhapsody.” Since his debut in 2012, Grimehouse has been a force in electronic music, known for his signature blend of bass-heavy beats and ethereal melodies.

His discography includes “Presents: Magnum Ops” (2016) and “Meraki” (2021), both marking milestones in his sonic journey. “Rhapsody,” released in 2023, continues to push the boundaries of electronic music, showcasing Grimehouse’s commitment to musical evolution.

In addition to his solo work, Grimehouse has embarked on a side project, “New Hero,” alongside Scottie Moore. The duo released an album in 2020, exploring a more mainstream electronic sound.

Despite being in the industry since 2012, Grimehouse has yet to receive a nomination at the South African Music Awards. He has a niche following, with 5000 monthly listeners on Spotify.

What sets Grimehouse apart is not just his music but also his distinctive stage presence — his gimmick of wearing a mask. This element adds an intriguing layer to his performances, creating an immersive experience that goes beyond auditory sensations.

As “Rhapsody” makes its mark, the question arises: What’s next for Grimehouse? With each album, he invites listeners on an immersive journey through uncharted territories of sound. Undeterred by industry recognition, Grimehouse remains focused on pushing the sonic envelope.
