Wolfkop Weekender 2025

About the festival

With January just around the corner, South Africa’s iconic Wolfkop Weekender returns to their beloved location in Citrusdal, just a mere few hours outside of Cape Town. From 16th to 20th January, you will experience 4 days and nights of music, art, adventure and relaxing on a lilo in the Olifants River.

A massive lineup of over 60 artists has been confirmed, promising a diverse blend of genres, from house and techno to live performances that will keep the energy flowing long into the night. The international lineup features Axel Boman, Ralph Lawson, Tristan Da Cunha, Floyd Lavine, Fka Mash, Chris Cruse, Delay Grounds and more. This is the festival’s only show for 2025, making it an unmissable event for music lovers and thrill-seekers.

For the 2025 edition, the festival’s layout has been reimagined, with some exciting new features and upgrades. Four unique stages will pulse with sound throughout the weekend. Fans of the festival will be thrilled to see the return of the Forest Stage, nestled deep among the trees. At the same time, a new location for the River Stage promises to bring fresh views of the flowing water.

The Beach Boma — an upgraded space by the river — will be the perfect spot to unwind, while Berry Fields will debut a brand new live performance area, adding even more space for festivalgoers to enjoy.

The festival’s commitment to variety doesn’t stop at the music. Wolfkop Weekender will offer plenty of spots to relax and refresh. With three bars scattered across the site, including a new Mirage bar serving up curious cocktails, you’ll have more than enough choices to quench your thirst. An entire eating emporium will be set up in what was once the original dance floor, and a bohemian market will stretch along the riverbank, offering a wide range of eclectic goods. A newly installed graded pathway will ensure easy movement between all areas — no shoes are required, just the freedom of festival life.

But it’s not just the festival layout that’s been designed to impress; the organizers are set to reveal something even more ambitious for the future. After teasing their Lilo River Flow experience at last year’s event, 2025 will mark the full unveiling of their vision for Wolfkop Weekender. “What we have in store will change the landscape of South African festivals,” say the organizers. “South Africa has never seen anything like this, and we can’t wait to share it with you.”

During this time of the year, Citrusdal can be extremely hot, with temperatures soaring to mid-thirties, so make sure to pack those lilos and sunscreen.

With tickets selling fast, now’s the time to get your crew together and secure your spot at what promises to be one of the most unforgettable festival weekends in the country. This event generally sells out – so don’t leave it too late.
